Streamer Mode

Streamer Mode hides your Twitch channel, overlay links, and tokens in WolfWave so the app is safe on camera. Your overlay, Discord, and chat keep working.

TL;DR: Streamer Mode hides private details inside WolfWave so you can show the app on stream. It only changes what's on your screen. This page is for streamers.

Turn it on

  1. Click the WolfWave icon in the menu bar.
  2. Click Streamer Mode. A checkmark means it's on.

Click it again to turn it off. WolfWave remembers your choice, even after a restart.

What it hides

With Streamer Mode on, these show as hidden or hidden (streamer mode) instead of the real value:

  • Your Twitch channel name and signed-in username, in Settings and the menu bar.
  • Overlay and widget links.
  • WebSocket addresses.
  • Your Mac's local network address on the Stream Widgets server card.
  • The channel-point reward ID in Song Requests.

A Streamer Mode badge sits next to hidden values, so nobody mistakes them for a bug.

Tokens are locked too

The overlay token and the Stream Deck control token stay hidden. While Streamer Mode is on you can't:

  • reveal them,
  • copy them,
  • edit them, or
  • regenerate them.

Copy and Open are off

In Settings, the Copy and Open buttons next to a hidden link stop working. A stray click can't paste it into chat or open it in a browser.

What it does NOT change

Streamer Mode only changes the screen. Everything else keeps running:

  • Your overlay keeps getting now-playing data.
  • Discord Rich Presence keeps updating.
  • Twitch chat replies are the same.

Leave it on for your whole stream. There's no downside.

When to use it

  • Sharing your whole desktop.
  • Showing Settings on camera.
  • Recording a tutorial or a bug-report screenshot.

Need to copy a token or link? Turn Streamer Mode off for a moment, copy it off-camera, then turn it back on.
