Listening History & Stats

Keep an opt-in, on-device log of what you play in Apple Music, with top artists, listening time, a 7-day trend, a Monthly Wrap, and a !stats chat command.

TL;DR: WolfWave can keep a private log of the songs you play and turn it into stats, charts, and a shareable Monthly Wrap. It's off by default and never leaves your Mac. This page is for streamers.

Everything here lives in Settings → History & Stats.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings → History & Stats.
  2. Turn on Listening History. WolfWave starts saving plays.
  3. Turn on Show Stats & Charts to see the dashboard, Monthly Wrap, and the !stats command.

You can also turn on Listening History on the Mac settings step of the setup wizard.

Good to know:

  • Nothing is saved until you turn it on.
  • Stats & Charts needs Listening History. Turning History off turns Stats (and !stats) off too.
  • Both need Apple Music access. If you denied WolfWave control of Music, the switches stay locked until you allow it.

What counts as a play

Skips don't count. A song is saved only after it plays for:

  • half its length, or
  • 4 minutes,

whichever comes first. Each real listen is saved once.

Stats and charts

With Show Stats & Charts on, the pane shows:

  • Top list: switch between Artists, Tracks, and Albums.
  • Summary tiles: plays and listening time for This week, Today, and All time.
  • 7-day trend: plays per day for the last week.
  • Listening by hour: when in the day you listen most.

Everything is worked out on your Mac.

Monthly Wrap

A Wrapped-style summary of any month.

  1. In Settings → History & Stats, click Monthly Wrap.
  2. Pick a month.
  3. Click Export as Image to save a PNG, or use the share button to send it to Messages, Mail, AirDrop, and more.

A month with no plays shows an empty card.

How long plays are kept

Pick a window under Keep for:

Keep forWhat happens
ForeverNothing is cleared automatically. This is the default.
7 / 30 / 90 / 180 / 365 daysOlder plays clear on their own.
  • A change applies right away. Shortening the window asks you to confirm how many plays will be removed.
  • Removed plays leave your stats too. On Forever, older plays that WolfWave compacts still count toward all-time totals and top lists.

Clear your history

  1. Open Settings → History & Stats.
  2. In Danger Zone, click Clear History.
  3. Confirm. Every saved play is deleted. This can't be undone.

Turning Listening History off stops new saves but keeps what's already there until you clear it.

The !stats chat command

Lets your Twitch chat see your listening stats. Viewers type !stats.

Set it up in Settings → History & Stats:

  1. Turn on !stats command. It needs Show Stats & Charts on and Twitch connected.
  2. Pick a Window:
    • Today
    • This stream: since you went live. When you're offline, it answers with Today.
    • Last 7 days
    • All time
  3. Pick what to Include: plays, listening time, top track, top artist. At least one stays on.
  4. Check the Example reply to see the exact message.
  5. Set the cooldowns: Everyone (whole chat) and Per person. Both default to 15 seconds.

Want !stats quiet while you're offline? Turn on Only reply while live in Settings → Twitch. That switch covers every chat command.

See Bot Commands for every command viewers can use.
